Do take note of the upcoming ATRIUM Conference to be held in Edinburgh. Great opportunity for poster or oral presentations, or simply to attend and experience a national medical student conference.
Have you done a project? Students who have undertaken projects as an undergraduate, either as a special study module, intercalated degree project or vacation project, may apply to present their work at Edinburgh University’s ATRIUM (Academic Training in Undergraduate Medicine) Conference 2010.
Held on Friday 12th November 2010 at 6pm in Chancellor’s Building, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, the Conference is recognised as a national conference for Foundation Application scoring purposes. The event will include highlights such as a careers talk from Dr Mark Strachan (Director of the South-East Scotland Academic Foundation Programme) and Professor Jonathan Rees, who will give an address on “The Problem with Academic Medicine”. There will be opportunity to get feedback on your presentation skills from clinicians from across the University, win one of our many prizes, and enhance your CV.
Apply now to present at the Conference and we will guide you through the poster-design process, including discounted poster printing. Oral presentations will be offered to the students with the highest scoring abstracts. The deadline for applications is Friday 15th October at 6pm. Further details and online abstract submission at www.atriumconference.co.uk.
